Year-end Letter from CEO
2021 held many surprises for many of us business leaders in the community. Covid seems to be the gift that keeps on giving. We are almost two full years into this pandemic, and we continue to grapple with the impacts of this virus. As leaders in our community, its been overwhelming to witness the impacts of Covid on our employees, their families, the supply chain, our local healthcare workers, and public health servants. There are many days that I lose my resilience and my hope that we will ever hear the phrase, “remember when we had to wear face masks…..” I have realized that the only thing I can do is stay present and do my very best every day in hopes for a different day.
I decided this year to keep it short and sweet and simply say:
I am here with you…
You are not alone…
We will prevail.
To all my business colleagues, please have a Happy Holiday Season. Do something kind for yourselves and enjoy the things that matter most to you. Let’s try not to forget the simple pleasures too….. a cup of warm tea, a nice candle, reading a book, listening to a podcast, a favorite libation, a walk. All of these things matter and probably more than they ever did before.
Next year we will catch you up on all that H2 has been working on for our community.
